Your TCCU MasterCard Credit Card and Debit Card will soon be upgraded with the added strength of advanced EMV micro-chip technology. EMV is designed to enhance fraud protection and provide an additional layer of security for your transactions. Beginning in 2016, as your TCCU Credit Card and Debit Card renew, they will be reissued with EMV micro-chip technology. Should you wish to have a new EMV Chip card sooner than your scheduled renewal date, please contact the main office beginning in January. Using your EMV Chip card is easy! You simply insert the chip end of the card into the retailer's card reader, and it will prompt you to remove your card at the appropriate time. In addition to the embedded micro-chip, cards also have a magnetic strip on the back so you can continue to make purchases at retailers who do not yet have EMV micro-chip terminals.
